Information on the calibration of newly purchased equipment and what it means to you.
Calibration and its certification comes in varying forms on new equipment and in this section, we will break it down into the three areas that we use to classify calibration state at the point of purchase.
Manufacturers Calibration Certificate
This is a calibration certificate offered by the manufacturer supplied with the tester. This is also known as an end-of-line certificate or manufacturer’s certificate. These certificates vary depending on the manufacturer and product. They will not have your company's name on them and don’t always show proven test results.
Where applicable we will include the following statement relating to the item/s on the products page under the heading *Important Calibration Information.
This instrument comes complete with the manufacturer's calibration certificate. Please be aware that these certificates are generic and may also be time-lapsed.
If you would prefer a personalised full traceable calibration certificate applied to the equipment before dispatch, then please select this option from the drop-down menu above, an additional calibration charge will apply.Manufacturers Certificate of Conformity
A manufacturer's certificate of conformity is not a calibration certificate. It is merely a statement that the equipment has been produced to operate within its intended application, it has no traceable certificate or constitutes any defined results for accuracy before leaving the manufacturing process.
Where applicable we will include the following statement relating to the item/s on the products page under the heading *Important Calibration Information.
This instrument comes with a ‘manufacturer's certificate of conformity’. It is important to understand that this does NOT constitute a ‘calibration certificate’. A certificate of conformity merely states that the equipment has been designed and produced to meet the requirements of its intended application.
Where calibration of an instrument is possible we will offer this as a separately purchasable item and may be selected from the drop-down box above. You will be sent a full traceable calibration certificate produced in our laboratory and applied with your details as required.Personalised traceable calibration certificate from isswww
This is a calibration certificate created by us at ISS. This certificate is fully traceable to national and international standards. The certificate will show your company's details, tester information, proven test results and the equipment used to carry out the test. Nearly 90% of all calibrations we do are done in-house in one of our many fully equipped laboratories. You can add this service to your order on the product page before you checkout.
Where applicable we will include the following statement relating to the item/s on the products page under the heading *Important Calibration Information.
We are on occasion able to offer FREE calibration on certain products at their point of sale (newly purchased equipment only) please look out for the following badge on the product's page to take advantage of this free offer.

Testo 440 Air Flow ComboKit1 With Bluetooth 0563 4406
Use this practical kit to handle all relevant measurements in ventilation ducts and at air outlets. The testo 440 multifunction measuring instrument, the vane probe and the hot wire probe including telescope all feature an intelligent calibration concept, ease of use and maximum convenience for the adjustment of air-conditioning and ventilation systems.
The Testo 440 Air Flow ComboKit1 Comes Supplied With:
- Testo 440 air velocity and IAQ measuring instrument
- 3 x AA batteries
- USB cable
- calibration protocol (0560 4401)
- Vane probe (Ø 100 mm) with Bluetooth including temperature sensor (consisting of 100 mm vane probe head, handle adapter and Bluetooth handle)
- bracket for testovent measurement funnel
- 4 x AA batteries
- calibration protocol (0635 9431)
- Hot wire probe including temperature sensor with fixed cable (length 1.7 m) including temperature sensor,
- telescope (can be extended to 0.85 m)
- calibration protocol (0635 1032)
- Combi-case for testo 440 and multiple probes (0516 4401)
Key Features:
- No task is too challenging, no application too specialized: the testo 440 combines a compact hand-held measuring instrument with intuitive measurement menus and a wide selection of air velocity and IAQ probes (please order separately)
- Clearly structured measurement menus for carrying out measurements in ventilation ducts/at duct outlets: the volume flow is precisely calculated thanks to convenient input of the size and geometry of the duct cross-section. Timed and multi-point mean calculation, average volume flow, current reading and min./max. values are displayed
- Other practical measurement menus, e.g. long-term measurement, volume flow measurement with a funnel, etc.
- Easy storage and evaluation of measurement data. Measurement data memory for up to 7500 measurement protocols, which can be read via a USB port and further processed as a CSV file on the computer (e.g. with Excel)
- Practical magnets for easy attachment of the measuring instrument to metal surfaces (e.g. ducts)
- Automatic detection of probes, e.g. vane probe, hot wire probe
- Large, backlit colour display
- Use the vane probe (Ø 100 mm) to easily determine air velocity, volume flow and air temperature at air/ceiling outlets
- Measuring range: +0.3 to +35 m/s, -20 to +70 °C
- More applications – less equipment: the universal handle on your 100 mm vane probe is easy to attach to other probe heads or telescopes. This allows you to expand your portfolio of probes and save space in the measuring case
- Carry out measurements at air/ceiling outlets effortlessly and without using a ladder: simply combine the vane probe with the optional, extendable telescope with 90° angle
- Wireless: the Bluetooth handle makes it more convenient to carry out your measurements and guarantees less cable clutter in the case
- Practical button on the handle: to store individual readings for multi-point mean calculation or to start and stop measurement series for mean calculation over time
- Our recommendation for carrying out accurate measurements at plate outlets/ventilation grilles: use the vane probe with the testovent 417 funnel set (available to order separately). If you add in the volume flow straightener (please order separately), you can achieve an impressively high level of precision when carrying out measurements at swirl outlets with turbulent air flow
- Intelligent calibration concept: the testo 440 air velocity and IAQ measuring instrument remains in continuous use, since only the probe head with 100 mm vane is sent in for calibration
- Use the hot wire probe to measure air velocity, volume flow and air temperature in ventilation ducts
- Accurate measurements from 0 to 30 m/s and -20 to +70 °C thanks to the robust sensor and automatic absolute pressure compensation
- Telescope that can be extended to 0.85 m, with scaling, makes it easy to measure in ventilation ducts
- Use the fixed cable to connect the hot wire probe to the measuring instrument
- Intelligent calibration concept: you only need to send in the hot wire probe for calibration, so the instrument can remain in continuous use
