Information on the calibration of newly purchased equipment and what it means to you.
Calibration and its certification comes in varying forms on new equipment and in this section, we will break it down into the three areas that we use to classify calibration state at the point of purchase.
Manufacturers Calibration Certificate
This is a calibration certificate offered by the manufacturer supplied with the tester. This is also known as an end-of-line certificate or manufacturer’s certificate. These certificates vary depending on the manufacturer and product. They will not have your company's name on them and don’t always show proven test results.

A manufacturer's certificate of conformity is not a calibration certificate. It is merely a statement that the equipment has been produced to operate within its intended application, it has no traceable certificate or constitutes any defined results for accuracy before leaving the manufacturing process.

This instrument comes with a ‘manufacturer's certificate of conformity’. It is important to understand that this does NOT constitute a ‘calibration certificate’. A certificate of conformity merely states that the equipment has been designed and produced to meet the requirements of its intended application.
Where calibration of an instrument is possible we will offer this as a separately purchasable item and may be selected from the drop-down box above. This is a calibration certificate created by us at ISS. This certificate is fully traceable to national and international standards. The certificate will show your company's details, tester information, proven test results and the equipment used to carry out the test. Nearly 90% of all calibrations we do are done in-house in one of our many fully equipped laboratories. You can add this service to your order on the product page before you checkout.

It has user-configurable inspection and test sequences, which can be created or adapted for use with any PPM or PPE inspections. Typical examples include ladder inspections, legionella monitoring, and emergency lighting battery checks. Straightforward PAT testing with simple data management
Following in the footsteps of Seaward’s long line of trusted PAT testers, the Apollo+ Series offers a comprehensive suite of electrical safety tests to enable any workplace appliance to be tested. The Apollo+ also enables point-to-point testing of fixed appliances.
Risk-based PAT testing
The Apollo 600+ and 500+ have a built-in electrical risk assessment tool that can be used to easily determine a risk-based suggested retest period in line with the IET 4th Edition Code of Practice. For users who are responsible for recording other non-electrical tests or inspections such as fire extinguishers or ladders, the user-configurable test function enables this.
Visual evidence for full traceability
Apollo 600+ has a built-in digital camera enabling images taken during visual inspections and risk assessments to be tagged against records in Seaward’s PATGuard 3 software as evidence - making it the most comprehensive and traceable record-keeping system.
Total health and safety management
Apollo 600+ features a built-in universal risk assessment tool allowing hazards to be recorded, risk scores to be calculated, and corrective actions to be planned and documented easily. Scan and print QR codes
Seaward’s new QR code data system allows more data to be stored in your PAT label barcode including; Asset ID, site, location, and last and next test dates. Using Seaward’s Test n Tag Elite 2 printer you can now print labels that include our unique QR data code, the Apollo 600+ and 500+ can read the data contained in the code via our new Bluetooth 2D Elite barcode scanner and populate the fields automatically for quicker retesting without the need for data upload.
With our new QR DATA Viewer app (available for both Android and iOS devices) you can share these benefits with your customers - the app allows end users to scan the labels and see the test information, and they can then very easily share the data via email. This functionality allows duty holders and end users to keep better track of faulty items.
QR DATA Viewer App
The QR DATA Viewer app allows duty holders and maintenance managers to read 2D barcodes on their portable appliances so they can view in-depth last test data. Test information about appliances can be sent directly to an email address so the duty holder or maintenance manager can make the relevant department aware of items that need attention.

Whilst we take the greatest care to get all orders dispatched and delivered to you in the stated time frame, orders received PM and requiring calibration may on occasion miss dispatch that day, according to the complexity of the calibration.Be assured they will ship on the next dispatch this in most cases should not add more than 24 hours to your delivery.
Bank/Public Holidays
Predicted delivery times are based on regular trading days Monday to Friday. Public holidays, bank holidays and weekends are outside the usual scopeof our dispatch and subject to activities/holidays of our carriers and therefore may incur additional days lead time to your order.
