Information on the calibration of newly purchased equipment and what it means to you.
Calibration and its certification comes in varying forms on new equipment and in this section, we will break it down into the three areas that we use to classify calibration state at the point of purchase.
Manufacturers Calibration Certificate
This is a calibration certificate offered by the manufacturer supplied with the tester. This is also known as an end-of-line certificate or manufacturer’s certificate. These certificates vary depending on the manufacturer and product. They will not have your company's name on them and don’t always show proven test results.
Where applicable we will include the following statement relating to the item/s on the products page under the heading *Important Calibration Information.
This instrument comes complete with the manufacturer's calibration certificate. Please be aware that these certificates are generic and may also be time-lapsed.
If you would prefer a personalised full traceable calibration certificate applied to the equipment before dispatch, then please select this option from the drop-down menu above, an additional calibration charge will apply.Manufacturers Certificate of Conformity
A manufacturer's certificate of conformity is not a calibration certificate. It is merely a statement that the equipment has been produced to operate within its intended application, it has no traceable certificate or constitutes any defined results for accuracy before leaving the manufacturing process.
Where applicable we will include the following statement relating to the item/s on the products page under the heading *Important Calibration Information.
This instrument comes with a ‘manufacturer's certificate of conformity’. It is important to understand that this does NOT constitute a ‘calibration certificate’. A certificate of conformity merely states that the equipment has been designed and produced to meet the requirements of its intended application.
Where calibration of an instrument is possible we will offer this as a separately purchasable item and may be selected from the drop-down box above. You will be sent a full traceable calibration certificate produced in our laboratory and applied with your details as required.Personalised traceable calibration certificate from isswww
This is a calibration certificate created by us at ISS. This certificate is fully traceable to national and international standards. The certificate will show your company's details, tester information, proven test results and the equipment used to carry out the test. Nearly 90% of all calibrations we do are done in-house in one of our many fully equipped laboratories. You can add this service to your order on the product page before you checkout.
Where applicable we will include the following statement relating to the item/s on the products page under the heading *Important Calibration Information.
We are on occasion able to offer FREE calibration on certain products at their point of sale (newly purchased equipment only) please look out for the following badge on the product's page to take advantage of this free offer.

Martindale VIPDLOKPRO138-S Voltage Indicator, Proving Device and PRO Lock Kit
The most comprehensive solution for safe isolation.
The Martindale VIPDLOKPRO138 lockout kit contains the VI13800 voltage indicator, matching PD440-S proving device and LOKKITPRO which contains the full range of Martindale locking off devices, all supplied in two convenient soft carry cases.
The kit simplifies compliance with Health & Safety recommendations for safe working practices when maintaining or installing electrical plant and equipment.
The new LOKKITPRO is the ultimate lockout kit enabling safe isolation procedures to be carried out in all types of facility. The kit is ideal for contractors and maintenance teams working on industrial and commercial sites as it includes the full range of Martindale locking off devices, compatible with all distribution boards and red spot type fuse holders.
It includes the latest LOK7 slimline mcb lock for use on breakers where the position of the test button may prevent the use of conventional lockouts or access is restricted, plus a 1m cable lock device suitable for both electrical and mechanical locking out and a steel hasp for use with multiple padlocks for when more than one operator is working on the same installation. Multi-lock hasps ensure a circuit cannot be re-energised until each operator has finished work and removed their own padlock.
The VIPDLOKPRO138-S Kit Contains:
- 1 x Padlock with unique key (PAD10R)
- 1 x Cartridge fuse isolation lock (LOK6)
- 1 x Cable lock-off (CABLOK)
- 1 x Hasp (LOKHASP25)
- 1 x Plunge locking piece (LOK15)
- 1 x Appliance plug lockout (PL13)
- 1 x MCB green isolation lock (LOK1)

Nothing is more dangerous than trusting a defective voltage indicator to test for a dead circuit. Safe electrical work requires the use of a voltage indicator that has been proved with a proving unit before and after use.
The VI13800 voltage indicator and matching PD440-S proving unit are supplied in the TC69 combination carry case, keeping them together to ensure that the proving device is always at hand. For convenience and to save time, the Test & Go carry case allows use of the proving unit without having to remove it from the case each time. Martindale VIPDLOK and VIPDLOKPRO kits provide the simplest solution for implementing safe isolation practices on-site in accordance the Electricity at Work Regulations. The VI13800 is the perfect voltage indicator for safe isolation, it’s safe because it’s simple with no ranges, switches or batteries to worry about, reducing the risk of a failing to identify a live voltage.
The PRO lock out kit is compatible with all distribution boards and includes all Martindale locking out devices, ensuring you are never stuck on-site without the right device to implement safe isolation. Spare and replacement individual lock off pieces are also available to order separately.
The kit comprises of 14 different locking devices for simple fitting to all MCBs, RCBOs and fuse holders. There is a plastic body padlock with unique key and a 6mm hardened steel shackle for securing the locking devices.
