Detailed Description
The FG100 is a Combustible Gas Leak Detector. Detects combustible gases Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquefied Propane Gas (LPG) from 500 to 6500 PPM. Audible and visual alarms. Convenient compact portable size with pocket clip. Continuous operation up to 4 hours. LED indicators for gas leakage and static absorption. Easy one switch operation. Complete with 2 AAA batteries.
Highly recommended by Extech for use in finding gas leaks from small gas containers (e.g. camping cartridges, lighters, soldering torches etc), the FG100 uses a combination of audible and visual alarms when leaks are detected. There are three coloured visual alarms:
- Yellow - used for static electricity tests. Before testing, you can use the FG100 to verify you are not statically discharged, ensuring that you don't ignite flammable gas. Please consult the user manual for the full method of using this mode
- Red - lights when gas is detected alongside an audible beep
- Green - lights when clean ambient air is detected
