Information on the calibration of newly purchased equipment and what it means to you.
Calibration and its certification comes in varying forms on new equipment and in this section, we will break it down into the three areas that we use to classify calibration state at the point of purchase.
Manufacturers Calibration Certificate
This is a calibration certificate offered by the manufacturer supplied with the tester. This is also known as an end-of-line certificate or manufacturer’s certificate. These certificates vary depending on the manufacturer and product. They will not have your company's name on them and don’t always show proven test results.
Where applicable we will include the following statement relating to the item/s on the products page under the heading *Important Calibration Information.
This instrument comes complete with the manufacturer's calibration certificate. Please be aware that these certificates are generic and may also be time-lapsed.

A manufacturer's certificate of conformity is not a calibration certificate. It is merely a statement that the equipment has been produced to operate within its intended application, it has no traceable certificate or constitutes any defined results for accuracy before leaving the manufacturing process.

This instrument comes with a ‘manufacturer's certificate of conformity’. It is important to understand that this does NOT constitute a ‘calibration certificate’. A certificate of conformity merely states that the equipment has been designed and produced to meet the requirements of its intended application.
Where calibration of an instrument is possible we will offer this as a separately purchasable item and may be selected from the drop-down box above. This is a calibration certificate created by us at ISS. This certificate is fully traceable to national and international standards. The certificate will show your company's details, tester information, proven test results and the equipment used to carry out the test. Nearly 90% of all calibrations we do are done in-house in one of our many fully equipped laboratories. You can add this service to your order on the product page before you checkout.

Volt Stick Bright is our most accurate, innovative and feature-full product we've ever developed!
We've taken the best of our original 230v voltage checkers and made this instant tester even more accurate, more user-friendly and with unique functionality never previously seen in a Volt Stick.
As you'd expect, you still get instant, safe, non-contact checking for the presence of an AC voltage - ideal for testing 'live / not live' cables, wires, electrical sockets, switched and fuses, etc.
But this latest version of the world's number 1 voltage checker now also features a number of new innovations including two interchangeable sensitivity settings (switchable by the user between standard 230v range & high sensitivity 24v range), built-in bright LED flashlight, more powerful LED & Sound indicators and digital microprocessor for higher accuracy and on-board function testing.
New innovations / new features of the Volt Stick Bright:
Dual sensitivity ranges:
- The Volt Stick Bright features dual sensitivity test ranges; a standard 230v range that is always active and a second, high sensitivity 24v range. The high sensitivity range is instantly activated simply by pressing the test button for approx. 2 seconds.
Always active:
- This professional voltage detector is ‘always active’ - so there's no ON / OFF switch and no danger of assuming the Volt Stick is working when it may be mistakenly switched off.
When the Volt Stick Bright is not in use it will stand in ‘sleep mode’ using almost no battery power – but will be immediately active when used. This is a vital safety feature, since many voltage testers on the market have to be manually switched on before use.
Integrated Flash Light:
- Our Volt Stick Bright features a bright, white LED flashlight integrated into the tip of the device.
Unlike many alternative products on the market which have a flashlight on the ‘rear’ end, the Volt Stick Bright's flashlight position ensures it points in the direction of the area to be tested (which makes sense!)
On-board Battery Check function:
- Its microprocessor will test the Volt Stick Bright’s batteries each and every time it is used, without delay in voltage checking / functionality.
On-board Full-Function Testing:
- The microprocessor will also test all functions of the device, every time the test button is pressed. It will run a full test of antenna, electronics, LED and battery life. The high performance microprocessor will perform all tests in nanoseconds, without any delay in voltage checking / functionality.
Universal Flat Tip:
- Volt Stick Bright features universal flat testing tip, designed to fit most electrical sockets around the world, including UK, Australia, Japan, USA, Germany and more.
Sound Indicator:
- Also features a clear, loud sound indicator to provide both visual and audible indication when detecting voltage.
New Battery Compartment:
- The Voltstick Bright features a newly designed battery compartment which makes access and battery change much easier whilst protecting internal circuits from damage.

Whilst we take the greatest care to get all orders dispatched and delivered to you in the stated time frame, orders received PM and requiring calibration may on occasion miss dispatch that day, according to the complexity of the calibration.Be assured they will ship on the next dispatch this in most cases should not add more than 24 hours to your delivery.
Bank/Public Holidays
Predicted delivery times are based on regular trading days Monday to Friday. Public holidays, bank holidays and weekends are outside the usual scopeof our dispatch and subject to activities/holidays of our carriers and therefore may incur additional days lead time to your order.
