Description

Martindale SMKIT5 Smart Meter Installation Kit

The complete solution to enable safe working practices during the installation of Smart Meters. The SMKITs contain all the test tools needed to ensure safe isolation procedures can be implemented during the installation process

The Martindale SMKIT5 Smart Meter Installation Kit has everything an electrician might need to safely isolate a circuit whilst installing a smart meter. Components include a non-contact voltage indicator, a single-pole voltage tester, a test lamp, a proving unit and a handy carry case for all the constituent parts of the kit.

The Martindale TEK101 is a handy non-contact voltage detector that can sense voltage between 180V to 600V AC with a unique integrated 50Hz proving unit which tests the sensor operation, battery and LEDs. When voltage is detected, a red LED illuminates and the detector emits a buzzer sound.

The single-pole Martindale VT7 is a contact voltage detector that indicates voltage between 50V and 600V with a bright red LED and an audible buzzer sound. It is perfect for using when wearing protective gloves and gauntlets so the user can always detect live panel casings with ease.

In order to test safe isolation on the supply side (Cat IV), a Drummond MTL10 test lamp is also provided. With a 360˚ LED display, the test lamp always shows if AC/DC voltage is present from 50V to 500V. A Martindale PD440 proving unit allows the user to verify the test lamp before and after use.

Finally, a combination soft carry case is provided for all the testers. A flap allows the proving unit to be used whilst remaining in the case.

The SMKIT5 Includes:

  • 1 x TEK101 – Non-contact voltage indicator with built in proving device
  • 1 x VT7 – Single Pole Contact Voltage Tester suitable for use when wearing PPE
  • 1 x MTL10 – Drummond AC/DC Test Lamp 600V CAT IV
  • 1 x PD440 – Proving Device
  • 1 x TC70 – Combination soft carry case
