Description
FLIR ETS320 Thermal Imaging System
Performing critical analysis of printed circuit boards and other small electronics just got significantly easier.
The FLIR ETS320 is a non-contact thermal imaging system designed specifically for use in product testing, scientific research and for educational use, combining together a high-sensitivity thermal imager from FLIR with an integrated stand, ideal for looking at even the smallest components.
The ETS320 Comes Supplied With:
- ETS320 Camera System
- Mount
- Microscope-Style Stand
- Power Supply
- USB Cable
- FLIR Tools+ Software Package
Key Features
- Benchtop-based stand with integrated FLIR precision thermal camera for thermal studies of electronic components and printed circuit boards
- Take the guesswork out of thermal testing – view the entire electronic at once and easily find hot spots and potential points of failure
- Highly sensitive thermal detector can detect thermal shifts as low as <0.06°C
- Wide temperature measurement range – quantifies heat generation and thermal dissipation up to 250°C
- High quality thermal detector with resolution of 320 x 240 pixels (76,800 pixels in image)
- Fully radiometric analysis – every pixel in the image is assigned its own temperature reading, allowing you to hone in on specific points for detailed analysis
- Hands-free operation – simply set the stand/mount to the height you need and start viewing in thermal
- High accuracy temperature measurements within ±3°C – ideal for quality assurance and factory acceptance of printed circuit boards
- Crisp, 3” LCD display for viewing thermal findings in real time
- Supports full radiometric IR video streaming to a PC using USB, or non-radiometric colourised video
- Capture thermal images with a simple button press and transfer to PC for further analysis
No More Thermocouples and RTDs
Using thermocouples and RTD temperature sensors to determine whether your components are working correctly may be a traditional route, but it certainly isn’t an efficient one. With thermocouples and RTD sensors, you can simply focus on measuring from specific points, with no idea how the whole component or circuit board is operating unless using a multiple sensor system.
With the FLIR ETS320 thermal imager, you can visualise the entire section you want to test and hone in on specific temperature points. At a glance, you can tell which components are outputting excessive amounts of heat and then adjust your ETS320 as needed to measure specifically on that spot.
The FLIR ETS320 produces fully radiometric imagery – every individual pixel in the image displayed is assigned its own temperature reading, complete with exceptionally accurate results within ±3°C and high thermal sensitivity to spot even the most minor differences in temperature. Fully dynamic infrared radiometric video streaming can also be sent directly to a PC running FLIR Tools+ software (included as standard) for real-time analysis.
Reduce Testing Times and Improve Product Design
Using the FLIR ETS320, you’ll be amazed at the difference it can truly make to your electronic designs.
As it gives you the ability to visualise all of the board/component at once, you can see exactly where the inefficiencies lie, helping you to improve your product designs and produce more efficient electronics that are better for your company and your customers. It will also drastically reduce your testing time, ensuring you spend less time actually figuring out where to attach sensors and more time simply looking at where the problems are.
In educational environments, the ETS320 is ideal for teaching students not only about thermal properties and infrared radiation, but also as a means of explaining how components overheat, how to spot these problems and how to take action to improve upon components which may not be as efficient as possible.
The FLIR ETS320 thermal imaging system comes as standard with a microscope-style stand that gives you completely hands-free thermal analysis on your workbench.
With adjustable height for zooming in on components and quick, easy setup, the ETS320 will have you viewing your components in thermal in no time.
The viewing screen is built directly into the side of the ETS320, making viewing as comfortable as possible. A crisp 3” LCD allows you to view your findings seamlessly in real time, or you can – at the touch of a button – quickly capture a thermal image or stream video directly to a PC.
