Megger TPT420 Voltage Tester

Although designed for testing within electrical installations, the unit can be used in almost any application where voltage and continuity measurements are required, including automotive, fire alarm & solar/PV systems.

Megger TPT420 Comes Supplied With:

  • Pouch 2005-536
  • GS38 shrouds
  • Batteries 2 x AAA

The Megger TPT420 voltage tester is designed to provide electricians and electrical engineers with an easy to use voltage indicating instrument. The meter will continue to warn the operator of dangerous test voltages even when the batteries are exhausted. With both LCD and LED displays, the TPT420 provides both AC and DC voltage measurement - from 12 to 1000 V AC and up to 1500 V DC.

In addition, a continuity function within the range 0 to 500 kΩ, is included and for added safety, continuity and voltage measurements are also accompanied by an acoustic sounder. A bright, integrated LED torch aids the operator when working in poorly lit environments. When testing between phase and earth on any circuit protected by an RCD, RCBO and Safety Breaker, the TPT420 is designed to work below the tripping threshold of these devices to help avoid unintentional disconnection.

The phase rotation indication test has been simplified, which now avoids the crossing of the test probes, adopted by some 2 pole testers. The TPT420 can also perform a single pole voltage indication test. With safety in mind, the TPT420 is rated at CAT IV 1000 V with an IP64 housing and conforms to the latest IEC/EN 61243-3 and DIN VDE 0682-401 standards For compliance, GS38 probe tip shrouds are provided as standard, along with a protective storage and carry pouch.

Delivery Notices (Updated March 29th 2021)

During the current situation surrounding the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic, logistics from every company are under immense pressure to deliver goods on time.
Coupled with manufacturers on reduced output due to more stringent working practices and a global shortage of component parts to supply UK manufacturing, we have taken the decision to
temporarily limit our services rather than let our customers down amid these unprecedented circumstances.
We hope you will understand our position on this and we apologize unreservedly for the inconvenience we know it will cause.

Please note that ALL orders placed before 3:00pm are shipped same-day (subject to stock and any additional services required).
The stated transport times above have some scope for adjustment built-in for the Covid-19 situation. Carriers themselves also have their own extended workload and limitations at this time which are unfortunately beyond our control.

Orders requiring calibration

Whilst we take the greatest care to get all orders dispatched and delivered to you in the stated time frame, orders received PM and requiring
calibration may on occasion miss dispatch that day, according to the complexity of the calibration. Be assured they will ship on the next dispatch
this in most cases should not add more than 24 hours to your delivery.

Bank/Public Holidays

Predicted delivery times are based on regular trading days Monday to Friday. Public holidays, bank holidays and weekends are outside the usual scope
of our dispatch and subject to activities/holidays of our carriers and therefore may incur additional days lead time to your order.
