Martindale HPAT600 Portable Appliance Tester

The HPAT600 is an easy to use battery powered, hand held PAT tester that is ideal for testing all types of portable appliances. The tester is supplied with rechargeable batteries for low running costs and a mains and in-car charger for convenience. Whilst recharging, the HPAT can still be operated from the mains supply ensuring maximum productivity at all times.

It has a fast automatic one button test sequence or a simple to operate manual mode useful for diagnostics and can be used for testing both 240V and 110V appliances with the optional TL157 adaptor lead.

In automatic mode, the HPAT600 will routinely run through a selected test sequence without any further user interaction unless a failure is encountered. In manual mode, a connection diagram for the selected test type is shown on the display and each step of a test requires user confirmation by a press of the OK button.

The user can select either the standard 500V insulation test or a 250V option which is required for testing appliances with surge protected circuits. The pass levels can also be adjusted which is particularly useful for testing appliances with long power cords or long extension leads. The HPAT600 stores test data for up to 200 appliances for on-screen recall, making it easy to review earlier results when on-site. This function is not for downloading to a PC. In addition to the mandatory safety tests, the HPAT600 can also be used to carry out a simulated load test to check the appliance is in working order and to confirm the integrity of the fuse

HPAT600 delivery contents include an extension lead adaptor, an earth bond probe with clip, a mains charger, 6xAA rechargeable batteries and a "Test & Go" carry case with separate pocket for accessories. In addition, the HPAT600 also includes an in-car charger and a handy null pin key fob.

A comprehensive range of optional adaptor leads are available enabling 110V appliance testing and testing of equipment terminated with 3 phase plugs.
