Making Dreams Come True

Dreams Come True

Isswww.co.uk is proud to support Dreams Come True, a charity in the UK that, quite literally, makes children’s dreams come true.

The charity was formed over 24 years ago to make the dreams of children come true, children who face adversity every day as they, with their parents, relatives and carers, deal with serious and terminal illnesses and disabilities.

For some people, owning a luxury mansion, or becoming a millionaire would be a dream come true, but for the children that the charity helps, a dream come true may be to go on a holiday with their family, visit grandparents abroad, or something as simple and touching as seeing cows grazing on a field.

The charity’s work does not stop there … Some children may wish for help living their day to day lives, and Dreams Come True will do its very best to provide the equipment and facilities to make this possible.
Being a charity, Dreams Comes True relies very much upon the donations that individuals and organisations provide. We are happy to provide the facility on our website for the people to be able to donate to this amazing cause. Some organisations that provide this facility will sometimes take a cut of the donations; however, we are happy to say that 100% of all donations made via our website go DIRECT to the charity to help make children’s Dreams Come True.

Below you will see some thermal pictures taken with 5 different Flir thermal cameras. It’s a great way to compare the difference between high res and low res cameras. All the shots were taken at a long distance (200m) and the cameras used were the Flir i3, i7, E60, T425 and T640.

From looking at the pictures you will see where your money goes when you buy a thermal imager. The Flir i3 is the lowest resolution and the cheapest camera. The Flir T640 is the most expensive of the 5 and has the highest resolution.

According to the NHBC Foundation, homes could be severely damaged from rain penertration and wind damage due to the poor installation of PV systems and micro windturbines.

The popularity of renewable energy systems, being installed on residential properties, is the highest it has ever been. Energy awareness, feed-in-tarrifs and the ever growing expense of heating, gas and electricity have all led to a massive increase in the installation of these systems.
